The immense contribution of the Indian community in the UK means that many non-resident Indians are often unable to deal with issues regarding land and property and other matters for example connected with their inheritance in India due to inability to travel back and forth or because they are entirely focused on their profession or business in the UK and thus lack the time to do so.

Our NRI Legal Services desk seeks to alleviate this problem by partnering with selected mid-sized legal firms and advocates in India to offer a bespoke value-for-money legal service where costs can be kept in check but at the same time to provide a service at par with the larger firms in Mumbai and New Delhi.

Amongst other matters, we can assist in regard to:

• Litigation matters – in filing and representation in contentious matters including alleged adverse possession of properties
• Landlord and tenant disputes – in negotiating agreements and settlements and in the eviction of hostile tenants
• Claims against developers – in settling of claims in the Consumer Courts or RERA Tribunals
• NCLT matters – in handling all company and corporate related matters in the National Company Law Tribunal
• Title Searches - in obtaining verification of current ownership records
